Mobile technologies that are blurring the distinction between home and work:
Mobile technologies have increased in the way they can work hugely in recent years. Firstly because mobiles now have all internet access like a computer/laptop does you are now able to do all of your work from a phone if you away from work. You can also leave a computer/laptop signed into your work and then leave it on as if you are using it all day so the location is at home and then go out and just take phone calls and access everything via the phone so the company would think you are at work the whole time even if you aren't.
I think that mobile devices are an effective way of doing work and staying in contact with work colleagues. However, mobile devices are, or can be a distraction and as a result, may prevent people from working, and instead, playing on angry birds or something.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the comments, but with the advances in mobile phones and having the ability to access work e-mail at home through your phone. This though good for the business, it is not so good for the employees that have no down time from work and so many people will go off with stress, because they have no time to relax.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all that has been said here, i think that mobile technology can only go up from here, with new innovations such as controlling the mobile with your eyes and more, there will also be apps to suit these functions too, the possibilities are endless.
ReplyDeleteI have learnt that due to the fact mobile technologies are now so good, they can also be a distraction as there are so many apps out there now. I have also learnt that because phones are so strong for example being able to check e-mails it is extremley hard to get away from work as you will always see and won't be able to get away from work.
